— Eligibility & objectives
ecoDa’s endorsement
Who is eligible
Member institutes may request ecoDa’s endorsement of their Board Member Education (BME) certification programmes. This endorsement recognises Board Member Education programmes that meet ecoDa’s established quality standards.
Main objectives
The ecoDa endorsement of national Board Member Education programmes has two main objectives:
- To support Institutes of Directors (IoDs) in developing and maintaining high-quality BME programmes by regularly reviewing, updating and improving their content, methodology and delivery in line with ecoDa’s standards.
- To distinguish endorsed BME programmes from other market offerings, providing a clear mark of quality and credibility to participants and stakeholders.
Criteria
ecoDa full member IoDs are eligible to apply for endorsement of their specific certification programmes, provided that these programmes meet all the criteria established by ecoDa.
Only educational programmes that lead to certification following successful completion of an examination are eligible for endorsement. ecoDa endorses high-quality certification programmes offered by institutes that demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement of both programme content and delivery, in accordance with ecoDa’s criteria.
Endorsed institutes
At present, three institutes have received an ecoDa endorsement certificate for their certification programmes: BICG (Baltic), NedCommunity (Italy) and AAI (Romania).
